Summit - dates and venue

GES 2019 in The Hague will be held on Tuesday June 4 and Wednesday June 5, 2019. On the evening of Monday June 3 there will be an opening reception with speeches by the Prime Minister of The Netherlands, Mark Rutte, and the U.S. Secretary of State, Michael R. Pompeo.

The opening reception on June 3 is in Town Hall of The Hague. Address: Spui 70, 2511 BT Den Haag. The 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES 2019) will take place on June 4 and 5 in the World Forum Convention Center. Address: Churchillplein 10, 2517 JW Den Haag.

The venue is open to all accredited members of the press. Consistent with the open nature of the GES, most GES sessions and programs are open to press coverage, and press are free to report on proceedings, unless otherwise indicated.

Press seating may be limited, and as such, will be closed upon reaching full attendance. Press attending sessions do so in an observational capacity only, and should not interfere with the delegate experience (e.g. conduct interviews or ask questions) while the session is ongoing.

Accredited media may conduct delegate interviews unimpeded throughout approved areas of the Summit to facilitate a free exchange of dialogue. However, interviews must be arranged as to not obstruct pedestrian activity, and access may be restricted or regulated during certain times to protect against congestion in main thoroughfares.

We ask you to treat participants respectfully and to follow applicable instructions issued by the organization and security staff.

GES 2019 program

After the opening reception by SoS Pompeo and Prime Minister Rutte the on Monday June 3, the actual summit on Tuesday June 4 and Wednesday June 5 will feature:

  • an opening ceremony,
  • opening plenaries followed by breakout sessions on Future Now sectors (water, energy, health, agri/food, connectivity),
  • the future of investment,
  • Business Challenge meetups,
  • a Solution Stage,
  • and many other sessions and events.

Throughout the summit, press briefings by government, private-sector leaders and other corporates will be delivered at the Global Launch Lounge, located on the ground floor. This area, open to entrepreneurs, investors and other participants in the summit, will highlight announcements about new initiatives, policies, programs and deals.
